Cirque du Freak Books

I should have realized these books were meant for 10 year-olds.  All the signs were there I just didn't put it together.

Alas, it's too late to go back now, I'm curious to know what happens next and it seems unlikely that there will be a second movie.

Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant

Cirque du Freak certainly isn't your typical vampire movie.  It's much more light-hearted than I'm use to and though it's a little corny at parts (mostly in the first half) I very much liked it.

While trying to find out if there was a second movie I realized that there is a whole series of books that are apparently way better than the movie was (aren't they always?).   So I'm looking forward to reading those.
