DIY Hair Masks

I'm not one to use many beauty products, hair or otherwise, but that doesn't mean I don't want soft, silky hair.  And so, I ended up trying out these two DIY Hair masks.

The first one tried was egg mixed with coconut oil which I left in for about half an hour and while I noticed some improvement it wasn't quite what I expected (not to mention icky).  Later, I tried extra virgin olive oil, warmed up and left in for an hour.  The improvement was simply amazing.  I'll continue using this mask at least once weekly or perhaps bi-weekly because my hair is very dry and frizzy without some form of extra conditioning.

Additional ingredients could be honey, cinnamon and lemon juice.  Make sure you completely shampoo out the oil otherwise your hair will look greasy.

Foreign Languages - Which One To Learn?

As you may or may not know, I've wanted and even started to learn Scotts Gaelic.  Unfortunately, there is so little information about it that I've come to the conclusion I would do better learning a different language.  I don't like it, but I will have an easier time acquiring the materials to learn German instead.  So, German it is.

To mark the occasion I've decided to share my (at this moment) favorite German song, Klavier by Rammstein.  In case you wondered klavier (klav•ier) means piano.

Henry - Attack Conure

Lately, Henry has been more and more of a pill, screaming all day long and he's shown no improvement on the hand-taming front.  Just a few hours ago he "violently" bit a family member.  Of course, I blame them.  If you know a parrot bites you don't go up and stick your fingers in the cage at every opportunity.  It probably didn't help that I laughed but how could I not?  For some twisted reason I find it immensely humorous when someone else is in pain for no other reason than stupidity.

Still, I really need to find a training method that works.  Clearly, what I'm doing now is not improving the situation.  Although, sometimes I think it does in a very small way.

Van Bered - Pianist

Found a fantastic new (to me) piano player.  I love his music.  I haven't looked into it much but Van Bered seems to stick to songs from movies, which I enjoy because it's hard to find good piano music based off of movie soundtracks.

Here's a sample...

Piano Music

Here are two of my favorite piano music videos that I like more than the original.  The first is Twilight and the second is Lacie Melody from Pandora Hearts.

Though Twilight  was ruined for me (mostly because of the crazed fans) that doesn't mean I  won't acknowledge a beautiful piece of music.

Music

My favorite song is Peponi by thepianoguys.  Normally I would be saying The Theft by Atreyu but times change.  Plus, I fell in love the cello, it's a beautiful instrument and works well with the piano.
