This is a blog about things I find interesting or fascinate me. I also post random things that happen in my life. It's mostly comprised of manga, movies, and tv shows. Enjoy! ^_~
Each chapter in this manga is a separate story about Kuroh's adventures as he looked for the Colorless King.
K - Memory of Red
Obviously if you've read or watched K you know that is manga is about the clan HOMRA and their stories. The newest members of HOMRA are introduced so you get to learn a bit more about the clan's background. I do like these stories a little more than Stray Dog Story but both are worth reading, the art alone is fantastic. I just love the artist's style.
In a large bowl (can be done in a medium bowl but I used a large one, it's less messier when mixing ingredients) stir together the flour, baking powder, salt and powdered sugar.
Stir in the butter, almond and vanilla extracts, and mix until a stiff dough forms (don't be worried if it doesn't hold together immediately, if you want you can add a little bit of milk to speed up the process).
Pat dough into a 9-inch round cake pan. Prick well with a fork.
Sprinkle white sugar over the top.
Bake until golden brown or for 35 minutes.
Cut into pizza slices while warm, cool on a wire rack.
Note: The number of servings depends of how thin you cut the slices you should have at least 10.
I find myself extremely disappointed and pissed off tonight. I just found out that Do No Harm has been canceled after only two episodes. TWO FREAKAN EPISODES!! This was my new favorite TV show! I have never liked NBC before and now I doubt I'll ever bother watching it again.
I'm currently reading several manga but haven't done a "manga update" recently because none of them are new. In fact, I was off manga for a while. Sorry for the wait!
Junjou Drop
I'm 100% certain I've read this before but since is is a favorite I reread just to get back into the groove. Very cute story, I can hardly wait for more.
The Wild Kingdom
The only reason I read this was because I thought there might me a werewolf in it, I was disappointed. Though a very childish story I didn't mind reading it. Was way better than suffering through an episode of Wild Cats or whatever that stupid anime is called.
Yesterday, I went out and got a pair of finches. They're so cute, even if they wake up at an ungodly hour and jabber way. Alas, Henry is jealous. He actually bit me! Not a hard but a bite nonetheless. That's not all either, every time I pass by his cage or change his food/water he fluffs up his head feathers and tries again. My first impulse is to give him more attention, but it occurred to me that won't work out well in the long run (not because I don't have time, but he would soon realize biting = attention). So I'm at a loss. *sigh*
Note that this small cage is only until I help build them a bigger one.
I've started to watch The Crow (TV show). It's not a new show and the first few episodes are unbelievably cheesy but I find I rather enjoy watching it. I have one major issue though, in the beginning Eric was referred to as "Crow" later the detective guy suddenly starts calling him "Raven". I don't know why but for some reason it bugs me to no end. In any case, The Crow is a good show and if you haven't yet watched it (and like action and drama) then I highly recommend giving it a shot.
On another note, I found a song that I think goes really well with the series...
Well, I was told I'd cry when I watched this short clip, but I didn't. However, after watching Hachiko Monogatari this morning it would take a lot to make me cry again. It was sweet though. (You can watch the full version on Hulu)
Yesterday I watched the most recent Narnia movie, childish I know but I can't help but love them. And how anyone can go through life without believing in magic is beyond me. I just don't get the movies though. For instance, Eustace was turned into a beautiful golden dragon and all he could think about was how to turn back, how to get home. Why would you want to?
Once again I have put off watching a movie only to be pleasantly surprised at how good it turned out to be.
After watching the trailer I thought that Premium Rush was going to be a stupid overdone joke of a film, instead it was action packed and kept me interested throughout. I had no idea bike messengers had such a dangerous job. I'll defiantly watch this again.

Thanks to the new TV show Do No Harm, my mind has been pondering the topic of good/evil and multiple personalities.
First off, if someone had multiple personalities who decides which version of the person is the "real" one? Is there even a "real" one? Say you are a psychiatrist/psychologist and are attempting to give that "real" version full control, how is that not the same as killing the other(s)?
In the show (Do No Harm) everyone seems to consider Ian as the evil guy who is possessing Jason, but I have been given no evidence to suggest that Ian is as bad as they say. Sure, he's kind of an ass but Jason is no better. In effect Jason locked Ian up for five years and he just expects Ian not to retaliate? Jason is trying to kill him. How is that not evil? Both Ian and Jason have 12 hours, half a day each. Anyone care to tell me who is possessing who here? But I digress, it's late, I'm tired and this can be continued at another time.
Fairly recently I was given a new bird feeder, well it was getting low on seeds and some poor sparrow somehow managed to get himself trapped inside it. Luckily, I was able to set him free with him freaking out too much. I do hope this incident hasn't scared all the birds away.

The other day I was watching Bleach and yet another of my favorite characters died. So disappointing But, I wanted to draw something to remember him by (it was Stark if you didn't read the title).
When nothing new is on or I'm waiting for an episode I often re-watch my favorite TV shows or shows that have been dropped/canceled. Most of the time the dropped shows are quite good. It's hard to believe that no one liked them. Recently I started watching Endgame. It's about a genius chess master, Arkady Balagan, who is unable to leave a hotel. To pay the extravagant fees he helps solve mysteries. And while Endgame will never be in my top five TV shows I wouldn't say it isn't worth watching. Endgame is one of those shows that puts things in perspective. I love how it makes you think.
On another note, I'm still having artist's block. I need some new ideas. Scratch that, I've got plenty of ideas, what I need are some good references. Just a little something to get the thoughts flowing.
Do no Harm keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire show. I LOVE it!
When I first saw the commercials I thought this was going to be yet another doomed love girly-girl type but I was dead wrong. There is so much action and thrill. I can hardly wait for the next episode. ^_^
So far the Superbowl has been much more exciting than the previous years, plus my team is winning (Baltimore Ravens). The commercials are also awesome. And guess what? They lost power right after half time. Hahaha
I admit, I see no point in watching football. It just bores the hell out of me. But, to my slight amusement, Henry (my conure for those of you who don't know) rather enjoys it. Throughout the game he has been a non-stop chatterbox. Not the screaming kind but a softer warbling. So cute. =)
Found a fantastic new (to me) piano player. I love his music. I haven't looked into it much but Van Bered seems to stick to songs from movies, which I enjoy because it's hard to find good piano music based off of movie soundtracks.
