Four Brothers

Watching the movie Four Brothers for the first time.  Good movie, I like the humor and there's a lot of action.  Bad thing - killed my favorite character yet again.  >_<

Akimu and Semi

Semi
While reading Blood Lad I wondered what it was about Papladon Akimu that I liked.  I couldn't put my finger on it.  For all I knew he was a psychopath.  Then it hit me... Akimu looks a lot like Semi from Waltz and Maoh.  And Semi is one of my favorite characters.

Akimu

My Cute Kitty

これわ 私の かわいい 猫 です。

 彼女の名はスイートハートです。

So, here I am six months or so after I finished high school and I haven't studied Japanese once.  I decided I'd start writing a few Japanese phrases in my blog to get back on track.  Feel free to correct any mistakes.

Melancholy

Went on a four mile walk last night in preparation for climbing Mt. Rainier.  I came this close to getting a blister.  But other than that I was doing pretty good.  Of course, the double chocolate cookie ice cream that I ate when I got back home probably wasn't the best of ideas (worth it though).

On a side note, I've been feeling rather melancholy of late.  This song about sums it up...

Doctor Who

The Best Doctor

Dark Shadows

Re-watched Dark Shadows (The new movie not the TV show) the other night.  I love that movie so much.  I don't care what anyone says, it is a good movie.  You can't judge something before taking the time to watch it in the first place.  Johnny Depp was such a cliched vampire with completely overdone acting.  It was perfect.  So funny.

Mt. Rainier

I'm going to clime/hike Mt. Rainier for the first time at the end of next summer.  Since I've never climbed a mountain before or really hiked in general I'm told I should build up to it.  Plus there will be less snow by then.  Of course I'm not climbing to the top, just nine miles or so (round trip).  It should take about 5 hours to get up and 3 hrs back down.

Then if I feel like it I'll make the climb to the top some other time.  But that's a seven day trip and I'm not sure who I should trust to take care of my animals.  No one from my family or my friends is particularly adept in animal care.  Still, I'll find someone if I have to.

Movie Review - The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

The Hobbit is a feast for the eyes.  Amazing graphics.  As far as I could tell it kept to the original storyline as well.  I'm not 100% certain as I've never been able to get very far into the book but the parts I had read were very well done in .

There are a few things that set this movie back from being one of my favorites though. First off the background music was less than average.  Secondly, that creepy thing that's always saying "my precious" really freaks me out.  I can't stand him.  Thirdly, it was so long.  I found myself yawning and zoning out at several parts.

I watched The Hobbit in 3D as well, so my eyes really hurt by the middle and were utterly tired by the end.  Then there's the added fact that I wear glasses.  3D glasses over regular glasses in not exactly the most pleasant experience and more than a little embarrassing.

I did like the choice of actor who played Bilbo Baggins. He was also in Sherlock. I think he is perfect for the role.

Upcoming Movies #6 (After Earth)

I get chills everytime I watch this trailer.  The effects are magnificant and I can hardly wait for it to hit theaters.

What I don't get about the movie are the animals.  So, if all the plants have evolved to kill humans why haven't any of the animals evolved?  Why didn't the plants evolve to kill them too?  How can the plants tell the difference?  Who fast did the plants evolve that humans couldn't destroy them?

I have loads more questions but I'll wait until after I watch the movie before judging it further.

Lost in Thought

I am down to my last broken (but still usable) pen.  Where can they all be?  I also lost my last pencil.  *sigh*
This reminds me of the twenty or so times I lost my eraser when I hadn't moved from one spot on my bed while drawing a picture last year.  I'm hopeless when it comes to things like this. >.<

R is a Zombie King

"R is a zombie king" is what I thought when reading Warm Bodies for the first time.  I also thought that M or Marcus is a pervert (no offence meant).

What I mean by R being a zombie king is solely based on how his thoughts affect those around him and how different he is from the other zombies in general.  Plus there's the fact that he and Julie changed  all the other zombies making them "human" again (I'm still not convinced that they are the same as they were before being turned).  I see no other explanation as to why his thoughts could change everyone else.  And another thing, who was R before he was turned?  Why when other zombies start dreaming of their past does R only dream of Perry's life (Perry is Julie's boyfriend whom R ate)?

You know, in a way R reminds me of Blood Lad (main character from the manga).

Opened my presents early this year and my sister got me a 5 pound chocolate bar (among other things).  I have know idea how to finish it all.  ^_^

Gamer

Gamer is the most action packed movie I have watched since the Man From Nowhere.  I loved it!  Though very reminiscent of Surrogates it defiantly has its own appeal.  In fact I like it much more than Surrogates (mostly because I can't stand Bruce Willis).  Gerard Butler on the other hand is a fantastic actor; you can really feel what Kable is going through and thinking.

At times (the beginning mostly) I thought this movie was sick and twisted.  But it's one of those that you can't look away from.  The "adult content" at every turn was largely unnecessary, however the movie as a whole is epic.

Drawing Again

So, I haven't been drawing much lately (not for the past 6 months) and decided it's time to start back up again.

I found these two cute pictures on the Internet...

...and combined them to make this...

Blood Soul

Though it's not technically new, I recently found a great manga.  Blood Soul is absolutely EPIC.  Lots of action yet it still has a good story.  Plus, both vampires and werewolves (even if you don't get to see the werewolf transform much).  If you like Noblesse or Necromancer then you will love this!

Basically, the story is about a vampire who is trying to get his fangs (fangs = power) back from some crazy priest who killed all of  his friends and family.  Only with no fangs he is stuck in a child-like form and can only use his vampire power (control over blood) for a short amount of time.

New Manga

Here's a few mangas that have recently come out... (ones that I liked reading, not just new ones)

  • Shirayukihime to 7-nin no Shuujin
    • Otherwise known as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
  •  Akazukin to Koisuru Ookami
    • A version of Red Riding Hood
  • Monsters (Tasaka Ryou - author)
    • Similar story line as Necromancer
  • Akuma ga Kitarite
    • Cute love story

Movie Review - Battleship

I really need to stop listening to my brother on his movie advice.  He judges things way to harshly before even watching it.  The only reason I occasionally listen to him is because our taste in movies and anime use to be quite similar.  Over the past year however they have differed somewhat.

Anyways, what I'm trying to get at here is that the movie Battleship is really good with just the right amount of humor to lighten the mood.  You should give it a chance if you haven't yet.  It's become one of my favorites.

Dog Cookies

Look at these dog cookies!  They look so tasty and meant for humans.

If your wondering, I bought them for my moms dog Mandy.  Sadly I have no dog myself.  >.<

Just bought two new very cute key chain/cell phone straps...

Upcoming Movies #5 (Oblivion)

Yet another movie with Tom Cruise, Oblivion is about future Earth and one mans (Jack Harper)  "confrontation with the past" and a fight to save mankind.

Skeptical of this well-worn topic I was pleasantly surprised that the trailer looked so good.  Though it was a bit confusing at parts, overall it was action packed and pretty intriguing.

The Blogs of Sherlock Holmes

I know It's been a while since the TV show came out, but I have recently gotten around to searching for Sherlock and Watson's blogs.

http://www.johnwatsonblog.co.uk/

http://www.thescienceofdeduction.co.uk/

In my opinion Sherlock's blog is rather robotic.  Boring.  Drab.  Watson's blog on the other hand was funny at parts.  I especially enjoyed reading the comments.  The ones from his family were the most hilarious.  ^_^

Broken Bells - October

Finally! I finally found the song that's at the start of the Warm Bodies trailer.  The lyrics are so familiar, but I can't say I've ever purposefully listened to this song before.

The vocals are average and I zone out on the lyrics but I still like the song as a whole (well the beginning especially).

Just realized that I recognize this song because I've listened to The High Road by Broken Bells before. :P

Reminiscing on Ghost Rider

Watching the first Ghost Rider movie again tonight.  There are times when I just want to watch that movie.  Don't know why, it's not the best of movies.  Lots of action but very cheesy.  Still, Ghost Rider has a sort of charm that I find very amusing.  I think it's the devils of the movie that make it good.

As with most movies I find that I am attracted to the secondary character more so than the main.  One example is in the TV show Moonlight, my favorite character is Josef Kostan.  In Arrow, I prefer Tommy Merlyn.  I would say that I like the fact that they are both a little bad and good at the same time, but in Ghost Rider that's not the case.  Blackheart in not a good guy, even if the saying goes "no one is truly bad or good".      So I will pin it down to his style.

I hope he will come back a some point.  Perhaps with someone that can curb his habit of killing.

Blackheart reminds me of Nora in a way and Nora is worth saving.

Note: For those how don't know Nora is the name of a manga.

First Snow

Today I saw the first snow of the season, just in time for the holidays!  The only downside is that it's so cold out.  I can stay in the snow for a long time, even with out a coat.  But once I get cold, it takes me a forever to get back warm again.  Still, I absolutely love the snow.  Snow is my favorite part of Christmas.

Upcoming Movies #4 (The Wolverine)

The Wolverine is one of the movies I am looking forward to most.  In the previous movie about Wolverine we learned a lot about Logan's past.  This new installment is about Logan's future more specifically  what happens to Logan after Professor X "dies".

To sum it up, Logan goes to Japan to train with a Samurai.  However, there is  not much else known about the movie.

Upon watching the trailer there I've concluded that this movie will be EPIC.  .

Zippy Ziggy

I am about ten chapters into the Zippy Ziggy manga.  At first I was on the fence about reading it because Zippy Ziggy isn't the type of manga I usually go for, but I can honestly say it's the most hilarious manga I have ever read.  The main character is so shallow, I'm surprised that he has kept his true self hidden from those around him so effectively.  The story line itself is predictable, the worst that can go wrong does in the most sadistic way it possibly can.

Waiting for Warm Bodies

>.<  I don't like waiting! Waiting is a waste of time meant for people with no life.  Without something to do I get so bored and loose track of time.  For example, this morning I woke up at 3:10 pm and thought "What the hell!  Where did the day go?!"

Well, in the meantime I found these two cute pictures...

Zombie Bunny
R - Warm Bodies

Skyrim Violin

The beginning of this song is so familiar to me, but I can't quite place it.  Almost like it's from a dream.

Anyways, this video is something I thought you would like to hear (despite the rather abrupt ending).

A Werewolf Boy

I'm conflicted about this movie because though I love werewolves, I'm not sure how I feel about the way the girl handled the situation.  How could one be that cruel and make a person wait for you so long?

On the other hand, the trailer looks pretty cool, I can hardly wait to see it!

Now Playing in Theaters

Upcoming Movies #3 (The Host)

The Host is another adaption of a book written by Stephenie Meyer.  I honestly hope it will be good because for the most part I liked it.  The concept that the Earth is invaded by aliens is not new in any sense but not many have ventured far into the Earth already having been taken over from the beginning.  I suppose we just don't want so see ourselves as a hopeless case.

Plus, there is the added aspect that people are more peaceful when we are not ourselves.  If you think about it, human kind is violent and selfish at its core.  It's in our very nature to think of ourselves above others.  We obsess over any heroic act because there aren't many people that act truly heroic.

Here are two of my favorite piano music videos that I like more than the original.  The first is Twilight and the second is Lacie Melody from Pandora Hearts.

Though Twilight  was ruined for me (mostly because of the crazed fans) that doesn't mean I  won't acknowledge a beautiful piece of music.

Upcoming Movies #2 (Now You See Me)

I love magic and illusions so I have been waiting quite some time for a new illusionist movie to come out.  However, I suspect that I might be disappointed in this case.  Though the trailer has some good effects and a few funny bits the story line itself feels lacking.  Not very well planned out.  If you're going to have a movie surrounded by magic there needs to be something more to it than thievery.  There are more than enough Robin Hood stories out in the world already.

Manga Review - Divine Bells

Divine Bells had been an interesting read so far.  The main character, Hong-Ryung, is sullen, speaking only when necessary.  Still, I find him interesting and cute.  There are plenty of mysteries that need solving so I can definitely see this manga going on for some time.  Reminds me a bit of Tower of God.  If you like Tower of God this could be a good manga for you.  I'm guessing it's written by the same author/artist, there is that much in common.  But, I haven't looked into it so I can't say for sure.

Upcoming Movies #1 (Iron Man 3)

Honestly I have know idea what's going to happen in the new iorn man movie.  The trailer is confusing, you can't even tell who's wearing the new iorn man suit.  The movie reviews aren't any better at explaining.  The only option left is to wait and see.  What I can say is that the movie looks exciting, action packed, and more in depth than either of it's predecessors.  A definite must see.

Complexity

A new Arrow comes out tonight and for some reason I can't seem to get excited about it.  I guess after the two week wait between episodes over thanksgiving killed the suspense that had been steadily building up.  It's not that I don't like the show anymore but I tend to build up great expectations which leave me disappointed when I actually watch the show (or movie as the case may be). The same thing happened when I watched The Bourne Legacy.

I have started up where I left off in The Mentalist some time ago.  Something about the character of Patrick Jane just draws me in like a bee to honey.  It has not once left me dissatisfied like so many others.

Often times with people I feel like after a year or two they become boring. Background noise, they're hardly noticeable.  When I watch The Mentalist I am able to see the complexity humans.  There is so much my eyes gloss over that I don't see the truth before them.  How sad then that I can see it in a TV show.  Or how happy, depending on your point of view.

A Bit of Warmth in this Cold Weather

There are some things in life that you just have to sit back and enjoy.  This song is one of them.

Remember, just because you are feeling down doesn't mean you should give up.  Your imagination can take you anywhere.  So, make it take you somewhere you want to be.

The Host VS Paul

Now these are two movies that I've been meaning to watch for a while (well, Paul more so than The Host).

  •   The Host is the weirdest, most depressing yet funny movie I have ever watched.  I have never seen a family with worse luck.  Even at the end I expected something bad to happen but you don't really see anything.

  •   On the other hand, Paul was hilarious.  It was ridiculous in so many ways, ironic too.  Where Paul is more of a pick-me-up The Host is an end-of-the-world scenario.  However, in Paul the same jokes were used over and over.  It was a bit tiring.

Though both movies have people falling to pieces at the sight of something strange The Host goes more toward mass hysteria than comical.  For that reason I would choose Paul over The Host.  I felt better after watching Paul, whereas after watching The Host I was a little depressed.

Living Christmas Tree

Went for a living Christmas tree this year.  It's so pretty!   Plus...
  • It won't  have to be cut down like so many others.
  • Low cost (only $60) which I won't have to pay again for a few years.  After that I'll have to plant it and buy a new one.
  • Good for the environment

13 To Life + Manga

Started a new series, the first book is called 13 To Life.  It reminds me of Twilight a lot.  The difference is that this series is about werewolves and it is much fun to read thanTwilight ever was.  Plus, this humor isn't there on accident.  It actually sounds like it was meant to be funny and not a collection of cheesy lines.

New Manga...

Kurenai no Ookami to Ashikase no Hitsuji

I started a few others but this is the only one that really caught my attention.

I am not what you would call religious, but recently I keep hearing the phrase 'the road to hell is paved with good intentions'.  Well, if the road to hell is paved with good intentions just what is the road to heaven paved with?

My Kitty Cat

So here I am, laying down on my bed and Sweetheart (one of my kittys) climbs on my chest and starts kneading my arm and as my mouth opens in a silent scream I think to myself 'Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!'  It's amazing how such little claws can hurt so much.  Still, she's so cute!

Imagine

Movies now a days have really downgraded,  sure they are more action packed and have great animation but they have no substance.  There is nothing new.  It's always the same old thing, vampires, werewolves, superheros, aliens, etc.  Don't get me wrong, those are my favorite type of movies but I would like something new every once in a while.  Something  imaginative.  Take The Nightmare Before Christmas for example.  Even years after it was made there is not another movie quite like it.

On a side note, all my manga updated at the same time.  ^.^  I love the rush of excitement I get when I am about to read a new chapter.  There were so many!

My two favorite manga at the moment are Samurai Ragazzi and Shuumatsu no Laughter.  Both of these manga only have two chapters out so far.  So there is no need to worry that you have fallen too far behind if you want to start reading them.  I enjoy the lightness of Samurai R. it is as if nothing can get Harunobu down.  It's a tale of pure adventure.  On the other hand Shuumatsu no Laughter is about demons.  Each of these stories are fun to read.  You can really get into the mindset of the main characters even though so much mystery surrounding them.

Life

I'm rewatching the tv show Life as I had left off somewhere in season two.  I liked the show in the beginning but it is not really one that I am interested in the long run.  Anyways in one episode someone said, 'we are always in motion, therefore we are never here, just more likely to be here than not'.  What do you think of that?  And not just your initial response but really think about it.

Thoughts on a Lonely Day

Have you ever had a day where you are just too tired to get out of bed but you get up anyways.  You get up because you have a job, some small thing you're looking forward to, or because you have someone that depends on you. Then the whole day you just want to go back to sleep and you think to yourself, 'why did I bother?'.  You think back to your reasons and the same routine happens the next day.

If you really think about it you've got to wonder what is the point?  Why are we here in the first place?  Where are we?  How?  The only reason I can think of is, because we must be.  The universe can't have nothing.  Or perhaps something out there was just lonely, bored even.  But in the end we are here and I wouldn't want it any other way.

Manga Update

Shuunmatsu no Laughter is the only new manga that I've read recently that's got my attention.  Alas, there is only one chapter out at the moment but I looking forward to reading more as it updates.

From the same author as Kekkaishi this new story is about an akuma who "eats" other demons.  What intrigues me most is why.  Why attack others of his kind when he shows so much empathy toward them.  And just who or what is his little sister?  Haru clearly means a lot to him, but what happened to the rest of their family?  How did he become a demon, was he born that way?

As you can see there is a lot going on in this manga.  It is a collection of riddles I need solving.  Plus, I find it's humor refreshing.

Warm Bodies (trailer)

I almost forgot, well I actually forgot completely to post the trailer for Warm Bodies.  Anyways here it is.... (what I like most is th humor and the music playing in the beginning)

A Novel vs a Series

There are a lot of mixed opinions about having a series of books or just a single novel.  When I read a book I always want to know what happens next.  My mind comes up with all kinds of different endings, but in the end I am never quite satisfied with how they turn out.  The first book is without exception my favorite.  However, in some novels there are just one to many loose ends or gaps that need to be filled.  Even though I know I'll like the first book more that doesn't mean I won't buy the second or third.  The anticipation of what might happen is constantly there filling me with excitement.  Because even though I won't like the book as a whole there are a couple of bits hidden in the pages that I cherish.  Those small parts might be just a few lines but to me they are worth the wait.

Warm Bodies

Just watched the trailer for Warm Bodies and it looks awesome!  I'll have to read the book first but I can hardly wait for it to come out in theaters.  I'm betting it will be much better than the twilight movies too.  If I had a list of what movies I was looking forward to most this would make the top five. ^^

The Amazing Spider-Man

Despite what some think of this movie I enjoyed watching it and I'm tired of people who keep saying it sucked.  In some ways the movie seemed more realistic than its predecessors.  I won't lie though, this is very much a teen flick.  Flash is not much of a bully either.  That's not to say he isn't a major jerk but I can sympathize with him more in this version than I did in the others (in one bit at least).  In the end I thought it had a jeckel and hide mixed with a king kong sort of feel.  Anyways, I urge you to give this movie a shot if you haven't yet. ^_^

Elementary

Finding out the name of the new Sherlock Holmes TV show took me a while.  I was expecting the name to have Sherlock in it but at least I found it in the end.  Unfortunately I started on episode four (something I strongly recommend against) so I had for find them online and start all over.  Elementary provides a new point of view on Sherlock Holmes.  Even hinting at what his past might have been like.  In Elementary Sherlock is a recovering drug addict and Watson is tasked with keeping him from relapsing.   I find I rather enjoy watching Sherlock in this new light.  Plus, he is a beekeeper which is something I've always wanted to be.  Though not quite as suspenseful as Sherlock (the TV show) this new Sherlock Holmes will keep you just as interested.

Breaking Dawn (part two)

After having finally watched the conclusion to the Twilight series I do have a few discrepancies but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.  Obviously it had some cheesy bits, a lot of them actually and there was a major fight scean that never happened in the book.  However that scean actually makes more sense being there than not.  The ending itself was bland, your basic happily ever after.

Anyways, still looking forward to the new Hansel and Gretal movie! :P

New Manga with Summaries

First off, check out my new ring tone...

I had postponed reading any new manga in order to catch up on a few that I have fallen behind in.  But that didn't hold up for long because found some interesting ones:

  • Green Blood
    • Set at the end of the civil war it involves two brothers trying to scrape out a life in the new world.  Every day thousands of new immigrants flood in hopes of a better life but what they find is a city ruled by the mob.  Luke's dream is to make enough money to buy land in the country to get out of the city, he knows that the cause of it's downfall is the mob.   On the other hand we have Brad who is the infamous Grim Reaper, assassin for Green Blood (mob).  Brad just wants to find the father who left the brothers and kill him but in the mean time he is an assassin for hire.  The biggest question is what will Luke do once he finds out who Brad really is.
  • Yankee-kun to Megane-chan
    • Shinagawa Daichi a known high school delinquent just wants to be left alone, no longer wanting to be bothered by his old life.  Adachi Hana wants him not to fail in school and repeat a year, she tries all kinds of ways to make him study.  However she is even dummer than he is.  They make and odd couple to say the least.  This is a very amusing manga.
  • Sengoku Youko
    • I've only just started this manga, but so far it is about two demons (brother and sister) and a swordsman whos goal is to rid the world of evil.  It's been interesting so far, a bit weird at times (I think the sister might have a crush on the brother).  I'm only five chapters in so I can't say much else.
  • Tonari no Seki-kun
    • This manga...*sigh*  I can't honestly say why I read it.  I guess there was nothing else at the time.  Anyways, it's about two high schoolers; one (Yokoi) who is (or use to be) a total nerd, always studying and paying attention in class and the other (Seki-kun) always fooling around without anyone noticing.  Everyday Seki-kun makes up these elaborate games to play in class and Yokoi can't seem to take her eyes off him.
Enjoy!!

Sleepy....sleepy...slee...

Stayed up late last night and woke up early this morning.  I despise getting up early especially when I can't fall back asleep.  Needless to say I crashed at about three in the afternoon.  Now I find myself bored, with nothing much to do.  Guess I'll just watch a movie or two and go back to sleep.  :-/

Chipper

There is this squirrel that stops my house for peanuts.  This morning instead of setting out some nuts like usual I decided to finish playing a game on Facebook.  I thought Chipper would come back later for the nuts, but no.  Chippr looked in the sliding glass door then claimed up the screen and stared right at me before shaking the shaking the screen in anger.

I decided to give him his nuts.

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter is one of the most interesting and funny movies I've seen in a while.  Dispute a few minor discrepancies the movie was awesome!!  Keeping my attention from start to finish it reminded me of a good book that I can't put down till the very end.   The few (or many, depending on your point of view) unrealistic bits only serve to make the movie more suspensful.  I hope there will be a second movie following Henry (my favorite character).  I'm sure they could with the ending  being what it was.

If you have not yet watched this movie I strongly suggest you go out and get a copy!

Manga Talk - Denpa Kyoushi

Denpa Kyoushi is not the type of manga I usually spend my time on.  But recently I've been branching out and decided to give it a try.  Basically it's about an extremely lazy otaku who for various reasons ends up as a teacher.  The otaku teacher, Kagami Junichiro, has a rare "condition" that makes it impossible to anything he doesn't want to.  In exchange he can accomplish anything he wants.  While reading you follow him as he helps students do what they want most in life.  Funny throughout, this story is a great pick me up any time you are feeling down.

Simple Thoughts

Someone once said, "they're two sides to a story and then there's the truth".  It made me laugh, how right can someone be?  It is always the simple things that really get to you in the end.  The simple inventions, a small phrase, a gesture.  One should kick back and enjoy life at every chance you get.  Overthinging things will get you nowhere. ^_^ Besides, from what I can see life is there so you can live any way you want.  Just be.

TV Shows

I love TV shows, however after a while of watching them I just feel as if I should be doing something else, especially once it becomes redundant (meaning the same plot in every episode = predictable = boring).  At that point I usually give up watching them.  For example, I love the show Castle but from season three up until the end of season four it became more and more unappealing even getting to the point that I was considering giving it up.  Surprisingly Castle was able to pull a 180 and now I can't wait for the episodes to update.  If only all shows could keep me interested...  >.<

A show like Sherlock, if it would only update it would be my favorite.  Alas it only places second the first being Arrow.  Though I suspect it will rank first once again once season two comes out.  I guess Doctor Who would place third (though only the episodes with David Tennant) and Castle fourth.

More Manga

So, here is more manga, I am currently trying to go through all my bookmarks and find some good manga that I forgot about while waiting for them to update.  Waiting takes too long and in the meantime I read other manga and then forget where I left off.  Anyways, I remember all these being good so have a look!
  • Denpa Kyoushi
  • World Embryo
  • Ore ga Akuma de, Aitsu ga Yome de
  • Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun
  • Mugen Spiral
  • Last Ranker Be The Last One
  • Kirara and the White Wolf
  • Tenchi Shinmei!
  • Takamagahara
  • Jiujiu
  • Kurozakuro

Music

Before I wrote that Save Yourself would be a good song to go with the Beauty and the Beast TV show, but now I'm thinking that  Monster by Skillet would fit even more.  Either way they are both good songs.

It seems I always come back to this type of hard rock music even though I also very much like the work of ThePianoGuys, coldplay, muse, and Madness.  ^_^

Cat Fur

When I got around to cleaning my room today the one thing I didn't expect was all the cat fur that was clinging to my shirt afterward.  The sheer number of them was unexpected to say the least.  I mean, I didn't even really pet either of my two cats while I was cleaning and it's a new shirt!

Beauty and the Beast X Save Yourself

It occurred to me that this song is great for the new Beauty and the Beast TV show...

The Crimson Crown

I finally got my hands on a copy of "The Crimson Crown" from The Seven Realms Series.  It had one of he best endings that I have ever read.  Normally a the end of a book or manga series I feel unsatisfied, like there should be more to it but, not in this case!  Throughout the book things started from bad to worst to practically hopeless   I was getting really depressed but the ending made it worth it, after all there can't be anything good with out the bad.

Zetman = disappointment

Well, I must say I'm disappointed in the Zetman manga.  So much so that I highly doubt I will ever continue reading it.  First off, for several chapters the main character wasn't even there.  Secondly, it has too much Ecchi in it for me.  There comes a point that it was just to awkward to read.  There are other reasons as well but overall this manga is not for me.

Two Great Manga

I completely forgot to write about Jackals! Jackals is a great manga, lots of blood and guts, not so much of a story line either but for some reason I like it a lot.  Basically, it's about professorial assasans in a city named for peace and tranquility but is anything but.

Thinking back I don't recall writing about Dragon Eye either.  Dragon Eye was one of the first manga I read, and holds a special place in my list of top manga.  It is more childish than Jackals, but still has lots of action.  Despite what some people say I think it has a strong story line, hinting at a shady past for the main character Issa Kazuma.  A past I wish the author would show more of.  Actually, the whole manga reminds me a bit of Naruto.  If you like Naruto then it would be a good manga to read.

New Manga

I am reading some new manga, waiting for my current ones to come out is just something that I have never been good at.  I prefer to read manga that already has a lot of chapters out so I don't have to wait to read more.  The only problem I have with that philosophy is once I find a really good manga I can't stop reading.  I have to now what happens next, you know?

So, here are the ones I decided to give a try...

  • Makai Ouji-Devils and a Realist
  • Samurai Ragazzi
  • Zetman
  • Takamagahara
  • Witch Shop

I really like Samurai Ragazzi but so far I can only find one chapter.  >.<
But in the time I wait for Samurai R. I will read Zetman.  It has been pretty interesting so far, at the moment things are not looking up for the main character and I hope he doesn't lose any of his super powers for good.

Soldier

Yesterday I had a strong urge to watch the movie Soldier, however it was not available on Netflix to watch instantly.  Luckily for me found the full movie on Youtube.  ^.^

This movie has so many little touches that make it great; it will forever be one of my favorites!

Assassin's Creed

Arrow

I just LOVE this new TV show Green Arrow, or just Arrow.  Arrow is one of the best action/superhero shows I've seen in a long time, and I've seen a lot of shows.  Although I'm not sure the commentary at some points is necessary.   I can hardly wait until the next episode comes out!  The suspense alone....

For those who have no idea what show I'm talking about, Arrow is a modern day Robin Hood type.  The main character Oliver Queen was trapped on an island for 5 years.  Now that he is back Oliver wants to rebuild his fathers city, make it a better place.  The plot thickens as you go on, I don't like to give spoilers so I'll stop here.

Minute Maid Dispair

After almost finishing a can of Minute Maid I noticed that the can says to "shake well before using" and I thought "oh, nooooooooo!" quickly followed by "so that must be why it all ways leaves a REALLY sour taste in my mouth after every sip.  *sigh*

Anime!

My two favorite anime are Black Cat and Ao No Exorcist.  Here are some songs from the anime...

I couldn't find one video with all the songs from Ao  No Exorcist so I just picked the two I liked most.  The First song in the ending for season one, the second is just some epic battle music.

Manga

Writing a blog is much harder than I previously thought, only because I have a poor memory and forgot I had one.  Probably because I only just started and don't really go on much.  Still...

I'm going to name off some of my favorite manga:
  • Ocha Nigosu
  • Tower of God
  • Silver Spoon
  • Cerberus
  • Soul Cartel
  • Arata Kangatari
  • Noblesse
  • Lessa
  • Defense Devil
  • 666 Satan
  • Demon Diary
  • King of Hell
  • Black Cat
  • Necromancer
Now these are only a few of the manga's that I read, naming them all off would take way to long.  All of these manga have a male lead and lots of action (well Silver Spoon not so much).  Most also have some sort of magic or special power.  Hope you enjoy!

Twilight Thoughts

So, the new Twilight movie is coming out soon.  I have to say the whole thing is getting a little overblown.  I mean, the books were okay but the movies are just awful.  The only good thing about them are the action scenes of which there are not many.  Also, just by watching the trailer I am disgusted.  Edward's child is suppose to be a BABY not a five year old.  Perhaps a child of three at most I would have accepted.  Plus, the Cullen's (and friends) never actually fought the Voltori.  In the end I'd rather just watch the movie when it comes out on DVD.

What I'm really looking forward to is Hansel and Gretel (and I'm really hoping it is better than the recent Snow White movie which was a rip off of Princess Mononoke).

Music

My favorite song is Peponi by thepianoguys.  Normally I would be saying The Theft by Atreyu but times change.  Plus, I fell in love the cello, it's a beautiful instrument and works well with the piano.

Anime thoughts...

I love anime, but it has to actually be in Japanese   It is so hard trying to watch an anime when its in English  the voices are all wrong.  The only problem left is trying to understand what the voices are saying when there are no subtitles. ^-^
